Half a year has gone of 2015 and it’s time to update this site! So time for some juicy news. The year started out well with Anne Sofie von Otters’ album ”Douce France” being Grammy awarded for best solo album in the classical category, and I’m playing on it! It was produced by my good friend Per Ekdahl.

Then the music from ”Gentlemen” was awarded a Guldbagge, and I’m playing on that too!

A lot of nice projects come and went, for instance four Ekdahl/Bagge Big Band shows on Scalateatern with many talented guests.

Spring went into summer and it started with Isabella Lungrens ”Somehow Life Got In The Way” being awarded Orkesterjournalens Gyllene Skiva. Me and Isabellas song ”Eudaimonia” has been played on different occasions since then! We have continued our writing which will lead to a recording with the band very soon.

Being end of August, I am looking back at some very nice concerts the last couple of weeks, for instance with Guy Barker and the Swedish Radio Symphonic Orchestra and with the singers Dee Dee Bridgewater, Georgie Fame, Vula Malinga and Brendon Reilly. Before that the yearly Svante Thuresson/Beppe Wolgers gig at Skansen, after this Stormvarning in favour of our climate situation, a concert where I was the musical director playing with a great band and more around 10 of my sining pals, for instance Magnus Carlson, Titiyo, Emil Svanängen, Rebecka Törnqvist, Nino Ramsby and Isabella Lundgren.

At this moment, I’m looking forward to a really exciting task on the Stockholm Jazz Fest, which incorporates one master that I’ve been listening to since I was a kid.

That’s it for now!
